Latvijas komandu ar veiksmīgo startu Pasaules čempionātā fitnesā jauniešiem un bērniem 2010, 2.-5.jūlijs, Bratislava, Slovākija.

Sacensībās piedalījās 80 sportistes no 11 Pasaules valstīm – Islandes, Krievijas, Latvijas, Meksikas, Polijas, Rumānijas, Serbijas, Slovākijas, Turcijas, Ukrainas un Ungārijas.

Komandu vērtējumā Latvija 11 valstu konkurencē izcīnīja 4.vietu tikai vienu punktu atpaliekot no trešās vietas.


Individuālā vērtējumā:

Vanesa Nikola Belova  zelta medaļa kategorijā meitenes 10.-11.gadi;

Marika Sirotkina 6.vieta kategorijā meitenes 8.-9.gadi;

Jekaterina Porodko 6.vieta kategorijā 12.-13.gadi;

Kristīne Estere Brinkmane 11.vieta kategorijā meitenes 8.-9.gadi;

Within a short time period, two major sport events were organized in the Baltic region. On 17th of April, 2010 Estonian capital of Tallinn comfortably hosted athletes and delegates in the second “Baltic Match” competition. 31 participants from three countries – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia battle for team points and main trophy, as well as for the individual victory. Estonian athletes showed the best level of training and deservedly won in the team competition. Natalia Nazarenko-Kiivikas from Estonia was the best in Women’s Fitness category, in Men’s Fitness – Oleg Anissimov from Estonia as well. In Women’s Bodyfitness category superior was the Lithuanian representative Margarita Charaim. In category – Bodybuilding Juniors the winner of gold medal was Estonian representative Edward Oks. In Classic Bodybuilding and Bodybuilding categories the first prize went to the athletes from Estonia – Taavi Koovit and Ott Kiivikas.
Two weeks later, on 2nd of May the Latvian Open Championship in bodybuilding, fitness and bodyfitness, as well as the first Latvian Children Fitness Championship were held. 32 participants took part in Children’s Fitness competition. The girls competed in five age categories (ranging from 7 years to 16 years of age) according to the rules set for children’s fitness.
Latvian Open Championship 2010 brought together a record number of participants from three Baltic countries. 42 athletes competed in six absolute categories. Top three in Women’s Fitness – Natalia Nazarenko – Kiivikas (Estonia), Liisa Otsus (Estonia) and Olga Aleksejeva (Latvia). Men’s Fitness – Oleg Anissimov (Estonia), Jevgenijs Mihïukovs and Genadijs Drigo (both Latvia). Junior Bodybuilding and Women’s Bodyfitness winners – athletes from Lithuania Kristina Jankauskaite and Rytis Janulevièius. In Classic Bodybuilding category unbeaten remained the European and World championship finalist and medalist Estonian athlete Imre Vahi. Bodybuilding category winners – Ott Kiivikas, Andrei Abrossimov (both Estonia) and Aivars Visockis (Latvia).
Judges panel consisted mainly of the International category judges from the Baltic region. The competition showed the good shape of the athletes of the Baltic region and readiness of the top athletes to compete on a high level in the upcoming European Championships.
Competitions proved properly started work of the Baltic Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation (BBFF) in anti-doping policy issue, and overall in the national unity and sport issues in the region. During the competition the overall level of Baltic athletes was evaluated, and the main issues and tasks identified and set for the future activities of Baltic Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation.

2010 OPEN LATVIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Baltic Federation President, Christina Vedernikova, sent a report covering the 2010 Latvian Open Championships and Latvian Children Fitness Championship.

42 athletes from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia took part in the Latvian Open Championships held at the beginning of May in Riga. Most of the winners are well-known athletes of the international level.

During the competition the overall level of Baltic athletes was evaluated, and the main issues and tasks identified and set for the future activity of the Baltic Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation.

Latvian Children Fitness Championships attracted 32 girls, participating in five age classes, from 7 to 16 years old. It was an interesting survey of young athletes before the first World Children Fitness Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, at the beginning of July.
